Can you give your Nissan more than 2 degrees of timing advance?
Two degrees advanced is all that will stick in the ECM. You can advance more than that with the Consult 2 connected, but it won't stay. My advance was at 16 degrees when they advanced it, so I now have the initial timing set at 18. Your initial may be 14-16 degrees; the two degree advance will add two degrees to whatever your's is.

If the 2* degree timing advance makes the performance so much better, why don't the Titans come from the factory that way? Is there some reason Nissan isn't automatically doing this? Possibly some downside by the timing increase? If so, what is it? ~ 1bigredtitan of TitanTalk
I'm almost positive Nissan didn't do it because 89-91 octane would be recommended instead of 87. Many forum members run 87 with it and never had a problem. I run 89 with it.

I have the 2* advance and run 87 octane, no problems.

What's the estimated HP gain doing the 2 degree advance?
Can't really say. The dyno shows a increase, but we can't get readings below about 3,500 RPM. There is where the most gain comes in.

How bout pinging, will I need to use higher octane?
You can still use 87 octane. No pinging.

Does it affect the warranty?
No, it does not.

Does the 07 already have the 2 degree advance?
The 07 timing is not set at 17, but still at 15. I did the advance on a 07 last weekend at the Houston meet (I did advances for 7 trucks there). The 07 was at 15, I moved it to 17.
Most of the 12 HP gain came from the VVT on the intake cam (and the necessary ECM program for it). There is a very slight change in the intake manifold and exhaust system that may have added to the gain.
